Mission

Fixed-base is a thing of the past. Welcome to the future of heritage flight.

The Supermarine Spitfire Mk. IX was defined by its agility—the way it danced through the air and responded to the slightest touch of the spade grip. Until now, experiencing that sensation in a simulator was impossible in the UK.

We are proud to announce that we have broken the "static barrier." By mounting our ultra-realistic Spitfire Mk. IX cockpit onto a state-of-the-art Full Motion Platform, we have created an experience that is unique in the British Isles.

The Only One in the UK. While other simulators offer a view, we offer the physics. Whether you are a seasoned pilot or a history enthusiast, our motion-capable Spitfire provides the physiological feedback required to truly understand why this aircraft became the legend it is today.

Why Motion Matters

In a fixed-base simulator, your brain sees the turn, but your body stays level. In our new Full Motion Sim: The Rotation: Feel the nose lift and the airframe strain as you rotate off the grass strip. The Combat: Experience the physical buffeting of high-speed maneuvers and the recoil of the cannons. The Touchdown: Feel the distinct "rumble" of the tires meeting the runway.

At Sim2do Flight Simulators, safety is our utmost priority. Because this is a highly dynamic full motion experience, the physical forces involved are significant. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, all pilots must meet the following criteria:

                                                                         Constraint                                                                    Requirement

                                                                  Weight Maximum                                                                    110kg

                                                                              Height                                                  Minimum 130cm — Maximum 193cm

Age                                                  16+ (must be accompanied by an adult)

Vision                          Adequate vision (glasses and contact lenses are perfectly fine)

Due to the sudden movements and physical forces generated by the motion platform, this experience is not suitable for individuals with the following conditions:

Pregnancy

Heart conditions or high blood pressure

Back, neck, or spinal injuries

Epilepsy or severe vertigo

A susceptibility to severe motion sickness

Mobility: Entering and exiting the replica cockpit is physically demanding and requires good mobility, balance, and coordination. Due to the authentic design of the airframe, the cockpit is not wheelchair accessible.

Strength: Just like the real aircraft, the analogue flight controls—particularly the rudder pedals—are heavy and require good leg and arm strength to operate effectively.

What to Wear: We strongly recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting trousers and flat, narrow-soled shoes (trainers are ideal). Please avoid skirts, dresses, or heavy boots, as these can restrict movement or become caught in the rudder assembly.

Please ensure the pilot is fully aware of all physical and medical constraints before purchasing a voucher or booking a flight.
